Press release – Pilot program “Appreciation – Love connection” to support students of Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City.

On September 20, 2021, the program “Appreciation – Connecting Love” was officially launched. The program is an activity of Recycle One Social Enterprise in cooperation with Ho Chi Minh City Union of Commercial Cooperatives (Saigon Coop) and Nong Lam University of Ho Chi Minh City. Ho Chi Minh City organizes the implementation  with the aim of supporting students of Nong Lam University in Ho Chi Minh City who have difficulties living in Tan Binh, District 5, Binh Thanh and Thu Duc districts.

Due to the complicated developments of the Covid-19 pandemic, the program “Appreciation – Connecting Love” was born, implemented on a digital platform through the application “R-One Connecting Big Hands” helps connect disadvantaged people who are having difficulty with benefactors for help and support in the most effective way. 

In this pilot, the program will be deployed to more than 1,100 disadvantaged students of the University of Agriculture and Forestry in Ho Chi Minh City from September 20, 2021 to October 20, 2021. Students after registering for support on the application will be verified information. As soon as there are sponsors, students will be notified to go to Saigon Coop Supermarket to receive a free voucher worth 300,000 VND and choose to buy the necessary food.

Recycle One social enterprise is a unit that builds and develops technology systems/solutions affecting all actors in the value chain of the circular economy – one connection, multi-platform – meeting meet the needs of Vietnam’s recycling industry.

With the goal of supporting students, the Organizing Committee wishes to become a solid bridge connecting students with difficult circumstances because of the Covid-19 pandemic with sponsors to promptly support them get through this phase.
